Māori Cultural Centre
Arterra Interactive has proudly supported Sydney Marae Alliance since 2020 across several initiatives, most notably in visualising the proposed Māori Cultural Centre at Hyland Road Reserve.
Through this collaboration, we developed 3D visualisations, animations, interactive media, and gaming experiences that helped:
Communicate the vision clearly to the community, stakeholders, councils, and funding bodies
Turn the proposed development into something people could see, understand, and support
Strengthen community engagement and stakeholder alignment
Support the project’s journey toward Development Application approval and successful funding outcomes

The Warahoa Game
Arterra Interactive have gamified the Cultural Centre and are developing an interactive video game allowing for a full interactive and immersive experience.
The Sydney Marae Alliance carries the dreams and aspirations of many who came before them. The 15.16-hectare site at Hyland Road Reserve is set to become the first traditional Marae and Māori Cultural Centre of its kind outside Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Cumberland City Council has agreed to a 20-year lease with Sydney Marae Alliance, and the NSW Planning Authority and Cumberland Council granted Development Application approval in June 2024.
The project has also recently secured $1 million in funding, marking a significant step forward in bringing this important cultural vision to life.
